Deceptive editing by Katie Couric maliciously and significantly changed the response of VCDL members in her new gun control infomercial, “Under the Gun”.

This intentional distortion of the VCDL members' responses brings into question the credibility of any of Couric's past, present, or future work as well as the credibility of Yahoo News for tolerating a news anchor who would perpetrate such an unethical fraud.

This Couric scandal is amazing -- she is being pounded by everyone -- Washington Post, New York Times, Washington Times, CNN, FOX, and well over 50 or so more media outlets!  NO ONE IS DEFENDING HER.

VCDL is running radio ads on WRVA in Richmond, Virginia starting January 14th and running through mid-February.

Electronic billboard ads are also running in Richmond, Roanoke Fredericksburg, and Virginia Beach from January 11th for four weeks.  Here is a sampling of some of the message thatr will be displayed:

Hank Partin, candidate for Montgomery County Sheriff, (left) with VCDL President, Philip Van Cleave, at VCDL picnic in Claytor Lake Park in September, 2015.  The other two candidates were invited, but only Hank took the time to come.

VCDL flooded the McLean Citizens Association (MCA) meeting on October 7th.  The association was considering whether to pursue some way to pressure the NOVA Firearms store, which had just moved to a new location near a k-12 school, to move.  

The MCA created an ad-hoc committee to look into any possible actions.  The committee will report back next month and MCA will decide what to do, if anything.

VCDL members, vastly outnumbering the antis, showed the strong support that NOVA Firearms has to simply be left alone.  VCDL will be watching this issue carefully.
