VCDL-PAC Top Gun Fundraiser and Shooting Competition

Please make plans to support our second annual Top Gun Fundraiser and Shooting Competition on Saturday, September 16, 2023.  The event will be held at the Hidden River Farm in Powhatan, Virginia. Please come join us as we compete, eat BBQ, and enjoy each other’s company.  Have some fun while helping the brave 2A candidates that have stepped forward to run in 2023.   And bring your cash or check book, because there will be a silent auction, challenge matches and other ways to contribute.

I don’t need to remind you that our fundamental rights, especially the right to keep and bear arms, are under attack at every level. The number of Pro 2A legislators has dwindled, and the balance of power is precarious.  WE ARE NEVER MORE THAN ONE ELECTION AWAY FROM MAJOR STATE GUN CONTROL!  We saw this clearly in 2019 and 2020.  We can't let that happen again, and it will take a great deal of effort to undo the damage that was done in those two sessions!

But all is not lost.  We need YOUR HELP to get good candidates elected!  This year the entire General Assembly is up for reelection, as well as many Commonwealth Attorneys.  Backing good candidates takes money, and it has never been more important to be proactive in this process.  Our state government needs to be a buffer against federal overreach!

Feel free to compete yourself or designate a competitor.  Top prize in the dueling tree competition  is $1,000…you read that right, a grand in cold, hard cash!  There are other prizes for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th place winners as well.  Entry in the competition includes general admission and lunch for the competitor.  If you need more tickets or are in the wrong place and just want to sign up to compete or attend please click here.

Can’t attend but want to help?  You can donate using the link below or sign up to sponsor the event.  The various sponsor levels can be found at VCDL.org/Sponsor-Level.  If you are a member, please sign in before donating to link your contribution to your member record.  This will help you keep track of your support efforts.

Volunteers are also needed for various task, including helping people park, checking in competitors, help running the matches, and more.  Volunteers will be fed and will leave with appreciation gifts!  You must be a VCDL member to volunteer.  If you want to help please email vcdlpac@vcdl.org.

ALL proceeds are going to support General Assembly and statewide candidates that have been endorsed by the PAC.

The day’s schedule is as follows:
9:00 – 10:00 am: Check in for volunteers and sponsors
10:00 - 11:00 am: Check in for competitors and attendees
11:00 am – 2:00 pm – Preliminary competition for dueling tree
2:00 – 3:00 pm – BBQ lunch, sponsor recognition
3:00 pm - Silent Auction ends
3:00 – FINALS, challenge matches and awarding of prizes
