And The Winner Is......

We really appreciate everyone who participated in the VCDL Academy  Mega Raffle.  We didn't sell as many tickets as we had hoped, but that just upped the odds of winning for those who supported our important mission.  Here are the results of the drawing, which was held at our monthly in-person meeting at XCal Shooting Range and Fitness Center in Ashburn, VA.

Sadly, due to the delays getting our raffle permit, we only had 6 short weeks to sell the 1,500 tickets for this drawing.  That resulted in us only selling a total of 309 tickets.  While we did earn much-needed funds for the VCDL Academy program, we fell far short of our goal.

Other Details

The full rules can be found at VCDL.org/Raffle-Rules, but here are the basics.

  • You must be at least 18 years old to purchase a ticket or win a prize
  • You must be eligible to purchase a firearm to enter
  • The drawing was held at the November 16th VCDL meeting at XCal Shooting Range and Fitness Center, Ashburn, VA
  • You did NOT need to be present to win!
  • Winners are responsible for any transfer fees, taxes, background check fees, etc.
  • If someone between the ages of 18 and 20 won one of the pistols we reserved the right to substitute a long gun of equal or greater value. The substitution is selected by VCDL.  No other substitutions will be allowed.  See the official rules for full details.
  • Winners who were present at the drawing could use XCal to perform the transfer (a $25.00 transfer fee applied).
  • Winners who were not present at the drawing may pick their prize up at Gadsden Guns, Beaverdam, VA.
  • For your protection, write your name on your ticket stub and keep it in a safe place.  Winners will be required to show their ticket stub in order to claim their prize.
  • We are required to collect your name and address on the tickets.  Phone numbers and emails are used to contact the winners.
  • VCDL Board Members, Officers, employees and their immediate families were not eligible to participate.
