VCDL has been called the premier 2nd Amendment grassroots organization because of the effectiveness of people like you.  We're so proud of our members!

Whether it's lobbying for our rights, writing letters to editors, volunteering at events, or sharing the love of shooting sports, VCDL members step up and shine.  Every time!

In today's political climate it's more important than ever to be proactive.  We need your help to educate new gun owners about why they should actively protect their rights.  There are many ways to accomplish this.  Check out the links on this page, and sign up today to help make Virginia a better place to live, work and play!

Volunteer For An Event

Gun Shows and community events are great places to meet people.  VCDL has tables at most gun shows in Virginia, and it's people like you who make that possible.  Volunteers typically take a 4 hour shift, and they get into the gun show for free.  If you've never done this before, don't worry.  You'll be paired with others who are experienced.  Besides, it's easy!  You just talk to people about our rights, and how VCDL works to protect and restore them. Any VCDL member is eligible to volunteer.  Click the link to get more information.

Lobby Your Representatives!

Become a citizen lobbyist.  We'll help you as you talk to your state senators and delegates.  Join us in Richmond for the annual Lobby Day and make your voice heard.  Watch the VA-Alert for important committee meetings during the legislative session.  If you can show up in person, great!  You'll have the option to speak to a bill, or just be seen with your orange Guns SAVE Lives sticker on.

If you can't make the trip to Richmond, you can also testify virtually.  We'll share the links and instructions on how to sign up.  We'll also share the details of the bills, and important talking points.

Organize a Meeting or Event In Your Area
